Born and raised in Petersburg, Alaska.

As a mommy she loves to make art with her son, Rowan. He is now talking about having his own art shows too.

Many times throughout the year you can find Doris and Rowan exploring the sea shore. Much of her creative inspiration comes from the simple act of taking a walk on the beach, snapping a few pictures, finding tiny treasures of creation and answering Rowan’s curious questions about the sea & the creatures living in it.

Doris has an original artwork & graphic design business called Folklore Heart. The main emphasis of her artwork is vibrant acrylic paintings birthed out of her love of color, design and natural science illustrations.  The graphic side of Folklore Heart provides creative design solutions for both web & print media. With the combination of artistic creativity and diverse software knowledge, she is able to create designs that help fulfill the specific need of each client.
